Helping to feed hungry children

As a student, Monika Jablonska traveled all around the world. She visited different countries, places and met a lot of people. She witnessed heart wrenching poverty and hunger among people. She was very touched by children who endured without a meal for days on end. A few years later, she came up with the idea of Nurture the World. Next to her legal career, she started a company that sells different products and donate to charity organizations that help to feed hungry children in the USA. The Nurture the World Project was officially launched during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio + 20, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Nurture first bag “Share the Love with Children”, with the logo ONZ, was created by Monika Jablonska, in partnership with United Nations WFP Centre of Excellence against Hunger in Brazil.

And I was inspired to launch it because…

As Gandhi said: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”

Challenges I faced early on, and how I navigated them…

Challenges are a part of our lives. I face them every day. I just pray and things work themselves out.

The world opens up like never before. I can see and feel much more than before. I have developed maternal instincts that help in personal and business matters.

One thing I know now that I wish I knew starting out…

Promises, promises, promises… Just keep yourself open to promises of serious business people but don’t get hurt if they become an empty word. They are just a part of life.

My best advice for would-be entrepreneurs…

Go for it. You will learn about yourself, your potentials and goals. Nothing teaches better than your own experience.
